The Lopez family came to Alaska in the late 1940′s, originally settling in Fairbanks and then later in the community of Valdez as commercial fishermen. Tune into the Alaska Identity Project on November 3 from 7:00 – 8:00 PM as Tillie, Tim and Eric tell their stories from the 1964 Earthquake, helping to build the Trans Alaska Pipeline, experiences cleaning up the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill in 1989, living in a religious community in Southeast Alaska, among many other stories from Alaska’s past.

Brandon talked about the topic of sustainable brewing and how the company became the first craft brewery in the United States to install and operate a carbon dioxide (CO2) reclamation system. I was inducted as a member of the Juneau Rotary Club on September 27, 2011. Thanks to everyone who has supported me up until this point in my life, especially those who planted the seed so I could be involved as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar to Chile... and eventually give back as a Rotarian.

It's been awhile since I last communicated, so I wanted to inform you all of the latest changes in my life and the show.

As of January 2011 I am no longer living in Chile, but have moved back to the United States to reconnect to family and country while also exploring some job opps and take the next step in my career.
